Who We Are

ADEMARIA INITIATIVE (A.I) is a refugee led NGO founded by Asiimwe Gloria, to create a world where migrants and vulnerable host communities achieve self-reliance by promoting equal opportunities, gender equality and social cohesion.

Ademaria Initiative is blessed with qualified, passionate, and motivated staff. We strive to work with communities in Kampala but with a plan to grow to other African Cities where migrants are located. Ademaria Initiative aims to work with relevant government ministries, international organizations, refugee networks and leaders, and faith-based institutions to achieve our mission. Many of these engagements are in progress while others have been finalized. Our office is located at Salama Road (Makindye Division) but we operate in three divisions of Rubaga, Kampala and Makindye Divisions.

We uphold the highest standards of privacy and discretion in all our interactions and operations. By ensuring that personal and sensitive information is protected, we build trust and create a safe environment where individuals feel secure to seek support and share their stories. Our dedication to confidentiality reinforces our two-generational approach, allowing us to effectively empower and uplift those we serve without compromising their privacy or dignity.

We are committed to transparency, honesty, and ethical practices in all our interactions, ensuring that we build trust and credibility with the communities we serve and our partners. Professionalism drives us to uphold high standards of conduct, competence, and accountability, ensuring that our programs are effective, respectful, and responsive to the needs of those we support. Together, these core values underpin our dedication to providing the tools and resources necessary for women and children to thrive despite challenges, aligning seamlessly with our vision of fostering resilience and holistic well-being

We deeply value the dignity and worth of every individual, recognizing their unique experiences and perspectives. By actively listening and responding with compassion, we build trust and foster meaningful connections. This approach ensures that our support is tailored to the genuine needs of those we serve, enhancing their resilience and well-being. Our commitment to respect and empathy guides us in creating inclusive, supportive environments where everyone is valued and supported in their journey toward holistic well-being.

We believe that collective effort and collaboration are essential to achieving our mission of fostering resilience and holistic well-being through a two-generational approach. By working together, we harness diverse skills, perspectives, and experiences to overcome challenges and create meaningful impact. Our commitment to teamwork ensures that we effectively support each individual growth and development, leveraging our combined strengths to build a world where everyone has the resources and support to thrive.
