Kampala, 2023 – In a significant step towards empowering refugee women, Ademaria Initiative has launched a new vocational training program. The program is designed to provide essential skills in tailoring, hairdressing, and arts and crafts, aimed at creating employment opportunities for refugee women and vulnerable host community members.

Founder Asiimwe Gloria shared, “This initiative is about more than just skills; it’s about giving women the tools they need to build a sustainable future for themselves and their families. We believe that by empowering women, we uplift entire communities.”

The vocational training program is expected to benefit over 200 women in its first phase, providing them with the expertise needed to start their own businesses or secure employment in various sectors.
